Clone into your code hive, for example $CODE_ROOT/github.com/<your-org-or-user>/agent-rules.
Point your assistant at user.md, or compose with rules-manager.
Run skill harness-setup (or copy harness.example.md → $CODE_ROOT/harness.md).
Put workstation facts in $CODE_ROOT/machine.md (never commit). Format: machine.example.md in this repository.
Optional: install agent skills — shop file skills/BOOTSTRAP.md · Harness-neutral architecture · Bootstrap agent skills · End-of-run commit and push (why agents auto-commit after chats).

Fork the repository when you need private constants. Upstream portable improvements with pull requests to dev-centr/agent-rules.

Satellite orgs with {org}/agent-rules pointer overlays: git pull in the canonical clone — no wrapper changes unless org policy differs.
