Marketing for engineers
Use this when designing brochure, pricing, and subscription signup pages for Dev-Centr (and sibling) products. Parent vocabulary: Web apps (marketing Band A is lighter than the logged-in app).
Philosophy
Market to engineers, not to an imagined lowest-common-denominator audience. Less salesmanship, more specification. Real decisions, real thinking, not hype.
Pricing and signup surfaces
-
Old-school matter-of-fact styling.
-
No sensory attentional hooks (bright saturated “urgency” colors).
-
Low stimulation. Neutral tones; low-contrast deltas between adjacent boundaries and elements (overall tonal range may still be high).
-
Details-focused copy and layout. Concrete explanations; diagrams when they clarify a real choice.
-
No emojis—or cast them into the neutral range with filters if unavoidable.
-
Limited curves. Slight curves are fine for orientation; lines support detailed comparison.
-
Rounded edges where the user must choose between large concepts; prefer sharper structure for fine-grained options.
