2026-08-17 — Skill descriptions as trigger words :: General Knowledge

Agents match Cursor skills from the YAML description field. A lay summary of capabilities never appears in chat, so matching fails.
Updated Bootstrap Cursor skills (on-ramps, paste recipe, worked example, checklist), Vibe coding bootstrap (load tip), How-to index, and AI studio tooling catalog (write-a-skill row).
Canonical skill: write-a-skill in dev-centr/agent-rules (renamed from write-skill the same day). Team SOP: Cursor skills (team).
create-skill remains for folders, the 500-line cap, and progressive disclosure only.
