Summary

All 15 organisations behind Dev-Centr are on GitHub Free, where organisation rulesets answer 403 "Upgrade to GitHub Team". The encoding guard therefore ships as a per-repository caller of one reusable workflow. This release turns that workaround into its own page, since most projects will not pay for GitHub Team until they are a business.

  • Enforce org-wide checks on GitHub Free — new how-to: plan table with citations to GitHub’s docs (organisation rulesets and required workflows on Team/Enterprise; repository rulesets and branch protection on Free for public repositories only), central reusable workflow and thin caller (real encoding-guard caller as the example), gh contents-API rollout script, template repository and scheduled sweep for new repositories, branch protection on Free, local hooks (core.hooksPath, init.templateDir, prepare script), limits and upgrade path.
